I Am Who I Am Today Because Of Nana Acheampong- Daddy Lumba

Ghanaian Highlife veteran Charles Kojo Fosu popularly known as Daddy Lumba has eulogized his colleague Nana Acheampong for his support in his career.

Daddy Lumba and Nana Acheampong have given Ghanaian hit songs to dance to. The duo’s popular song ” meyeaka akwantuo mu” was a popular song in the 90s.

The ‘Mpempem’ hitmaker together with his industry brother Nana Acheampong graced the Kab-Fam Legends Night Show.

Both musicians gave a spectacular performance and amid the night Lumba paid homage to his former group member for introducing him to highlife music. Nana Acheampong has given Ghanaians a song bird in Gyakie.

He talked about doing more Gospel music until he met Nana Acheampong in Germany and the genre has sustained him till now. High-life music saved me through Nana.

When we first went to Germany, I used to sing only Gospel music. The person who introduced me to highlife is the man who stands with me today(Nana Acheampong). I am who I am today because of this man” he said

Before their fall out the duo was known as the Lumba brothers where they produced good music for fans and eventually released a joint album in 1989. Daddy Lumba recently released a diss track titled ‘Ofoo Na Di Nsem Foo’ which is available on all platforms.
