Davies Agrees To Stay At Bayern With New Contract

Alphonso Davies, the left-back for Bayern Munich, has agreed to a new deal with the team, putting an end to rumors that he might join Real Madrid.

The 24-year-old Davies signed a new five-year contract with Bayern on Tuesday, which will expire in June 2030.

It was generally anticipated that the Canada international would sign with Real Madrid as a free agent when his current deal expired in June.

Since joining Bayern from the Vancouver Whitecaps in January 2019, Davies has won five Bundesliga championships and a Champions League.

He has made 25 appearances in all competitions this season, contributing three assists and one goal.

At the moment, Bayern leads the Bundesliga by six points over Bayer Leverkusen, the reigning champions.

Vincent Kompany’s side face a two-legged Champions League play-off against Celtic.
