Dr. Randy Abbey Appointed As Chairman Of Black Stars Management Committee

A new management committee for the senior national football team, the Black Stars, has been announced by the Ghana Football Association (GFA).

The committee has been chaired by Dr. Randy Abbey, a member of the GFA Executive Council. He will be in charge of overseeing communications with the government and other important parties.

As Vice-Chairperson, former Black Stars captain Stephen Appiah will be primarily responsible for player relations.

Mr. Moses Armah, the president of Medeama Sporting Club, and Mr. Samuel Aboabire, the chairman of the Greater Accra Regional Football Association and a member of the GFA Executive Council, are also on the committee.

In order to effectively handle the interests of sponsors, partners, and collaborators, Aboabire and Armah will supervise operations and matchday activities. The group also includes Mr. Richard Nsenkyire, the president of FC Samartex 1996.

As the Black Stars get ready for the 2026 World Cup qualifying round to resume, the GFA thinks the new squad will help them with their abundance of knowledge and experience.

The Black Stars are determined to recover after a dismal 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifying campaign.

In March, they have important matches against Chad and Madagascar, and they are hoping for a much better showing.
