The strategy for Dreams FC’s forthcoming second leg of the CAF Confederation Cup versus Zamalek SC has been alluded to by coach Karim Zito.
After a goalless draw in the first leg at Cairo International Stadium, the Ghana Premier League team will take against the Egyptian superpower on Sunday afternoon at Baba Yara Stadium.
Dreams kept Zamalek’s attackers at bay for the most of the game despite playing on the defensive much of the time.
Zito intends to take a more aggressive approach to the game in advance of the second leg.
We have to seriously plan how to face them. We will change our approach,” he told Joy Sports. “I will not sit back because 1-1, 1-0, we all have the chances [to qualify]. But the advantage we have is playing at home and they won’t have the home support.”
Dreams FC also revealed that admission to the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday is free. Tickets are still available for those who want to enter the VIP and VVIP areas.
Later today, the squad is expected to leave for Kumasi, where the match is slated to begin at 16:00 GMT.
Dreams FC would make history by being the first Ghanaian team to reach the championship round since Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko did it in 2004 if they were to defeat Zamalek.
