Driver Feared Dead In Head-On Crash At Gomoa Mangoase

After hitting a tipper truck with the registration number GM 2070-21 Gomoa Mangoase on the Agona Swedru-Winneba route in the Central Region, the driver of a Kia Rhino with the registration number AS 5365-16 is believed to be dead.

Sand was being transported by the tipper truck, and the driver of the KIA Rhino was carrying sachets of water.

On Friday, October 11, 2024, in the late afternoon, the accident happened.
Both the KIA Rhino’s mate and himself were sent to Agona Swedru Municipal Hospital after suffering serious injuries.

Adams Suleman, the assemblyman for the Gomoa Mangoase-Osamkrom Electoral Area, verified the occurrence to Adom News.

According to Mr. Suleman, the tipper crashed into the Kia Rhino that was approaching from the other direction after attempting unsuccessfully to pass a taxi.

He claimed that following the collision, the tipper driver and his two friends left the site and have since vanished from sight.

The stranded KIA Rhino’s driver and mate were freed and taken to a medical facility thanks to the action of prison guards in the Osamkrom.
