East Legon Accident: Salifu Amoako Tearfully Kneels, Pleads For Forgiveness

Bishop Elisha Salifu Amoako, the founder and head of Alive Chapel International, has unconditionally apologized to the families of the two girls who perished in the accident that his 16-year-old son caused.

Bishop Salifu has expressed that he is going through a tough moment and feels the grief of the families who have lost a loved one.

He broke down in tears and knelt down in a social media video, pleading with the families for forgiveness.

He said that there is no way to explain the tragedy and prayed that God would support and comfort the family during these trying times.

Bishop Salifu urged his fellow pastors and Ghanaians to join him in apologizing to the families.

“I’m pleading with you to have mercy on me and may God be your comforter. I’m pleading with the families, may God strengthen you and give you strength.

“Also to Ghanaians, pastors, please plead on my behalf and ask the family to forgive me for what has happened. I can’t even explain myself. I’ve cried a lot because I can’t even understand what happened. I can’t even cry anymore. I’m on my knees, please forgive me,”

Bishop Amoako apologized after being arrested for the incident that happened in East Legon last Saturday, together with his spouse, Mouha Amoako.

They are accused of allowing an unlicensed driver to operate a vehicle in front of the Accra High Court.

The two were then each given GH¢50,000 bail.

Bail was also granted for a third accused individual, Linda Bempah, who the prosecution characterized as a sales assistant at Lilo Stitches, which is owned by the suspect’s brother.
