EIB Network Clears Serwaa Amihere Of Any Guilt In Leaked Tape Scandal

The owners of GHOne Television, the management of EIB Network, have made it clear that Serwaa Amihere, the show’s presenter, did nothing improper in connection with a recently viral video that purportedly showed her with Henry Fitz.

The video recently went viral on social media, sparking speculation that it was filmed in 2019, before Fitz’s marriage. EIB Network had promised a private investigation and pledged to release its findings. They also acknowledged criminal proceedings initiated by the Ghana Police Service against those who shared the video. In a press release dated July 5, 2024, EIB Network disclosed its investigation results.

Portions of the statement reads:

“At the end of a thorough and impartial investigation, the committee found no form of misconduct or breaches on the part of Serwaa Amihere in the circulation of the said video.”

“We remain committed to cooperating with authorities to ensure justice is served”.

Serwaa Amihere later apologized.

In April, the Ghana Police charged three individuals for sharing an intimate video of her. She issued a statement on her X account, apologizing for the embarrassment caused to her family, employers, loved ones, and the brands she represents. Serwaa confirmed the video was from five years ago, acknowledging she underestimated her influence and potential at the time. She revealed the video was released after months of threats and extortion, with police working to apprehend the culprits. Despite the ordeal, Serwaa expressed learning valuable lessons from the incident.
