Elon Musk Considering Purchase Of Liverpool FC , His Father Reveals

Errol Musk, the billionaire’s father, has stated that Elon Musk is interested in buying Premier League powerhouse Liverpool.

The richest man in the world, Elon Musk, is well-known for owning the social media network X. He has also been predicted to purchase a Premier League team.

For a number of years, Liverpool’s ownership group, Fenway Sports Group (FSG), has been open to outside investment. FSG also owns the Boston Red Sox, an MLB team, and the Pittsburgh Penguins, an NHL team.

After losing support from supporters due to a number of reasons, including the team’s bid to enter the breakaway European Super League the year before, there were rumors in late 2022 that FSG wanted to sell Liverpool.

Though principal owner John W. Henry has since claimed the Anfield club is not for sale, Elon Musk’s father has said the Tesla chief executive is interested in a takeover bid.

Speaking to Times Radio on the Liverpool links, Errol Musk said: “I can’t comment on that, they’ll raise the price!”

Asked if his son had expressed a desire to buy the club, he added: “Oh yes, but that doesn’t mean he’s buying it.

“He would like to yes, obviously. Anybody would want to, so would I.

“His grandmother was born in Liverpool, and we have relatives in Liverpool, and we were fortunate to know quite a few of the Beatles because they grew up with some of my family. So, we are attached to Liverpool.”
