The son of former Ghana international Matthew Amoah, Matthew Amoah Jr., has signed to Feyenoord Rotterdam of the Eredivisie for his first professional deal.
With a possibility for an extension, the 15-year-old offensive midfielder has committed to Feyenoord until 2027.
He stated:
“I am super proud to have signed my first contract with Feyenoord,”
”I have been playing for the club since the youngest youth and have worked towards this wonderful moment all these years. Next season I want to take the next step in my development and I hope to be important for my team again by giving assists and scoring goals”
Amoah Jr., who joined Feyenoord from NAC Breda at a young age and spent the last season honing his skills in the Feyenoord Academy, is expected to play for Feyenoord’s U-18 team. He hopes to contribute to the Divisie 1 Spring and Fall championships the following season and work his way up to a regular role at the senior level. His father, Matthew Amoah, who played for the Black Stars for ten years, scored 12 goals in 45 appearances and was a member of Ghana’s FIFA World Cup squads in 2006 and 2010.
