Hans Kwofie, a former striker for Medeama and AshantiGold & Legon Cities, sadly died in a car accident at Dadwen.
Kwofie’s brother claims that he was headed to lunch when he was killed instantaneously in an automobile accident involving an approaching passenger bus.
We were all sitting here when it began raining and after it stopped he [Hans Kwofie] mentioned that, he has not eaten since morning, so he is going to get something to eat.
There’s a chop bar between Dompe and Pimpesa, the place is called Dadwen, he drove there for the food together with his friend.
So he asked me to go with them and i refused because i mentioned that i am not feeling too well, so i did not follow.
Upon return, he crashed with a trotro and lost his life together with his friend.
After being let go by Medeama, Hans Kwofie, 35, became a free agent in August 2023. However, he found it difficult to establish himself when he rejoined his old team.
Kwofie played with three-time Premier League winners AshantiGold in Obuasi, a mining town in Ghana, and had great success there during his career.
