Thousands of enthusiastic fans thronged the Kotoka International Airport to welcome Ghanaian dancehall artiste Shatta Wale upon his return from Jamaica.
The self-acclaimed “Dancehall King” made history by performing alongside Jamaican superstar Vybz Kartel at the latter’s highly anticipated Freedom Concert on December 31, 2024. The event marked Vybz Kartel’s release from prison after serving 13 years.
The Freedom Concert attracted global music icons, including Popcaan and Busta Rhymes, who joined the celebration. Shatta Wale took to the stage to perform three of his popular tracks—Mansa Musa, On God, and Already—which sparked widespread conversations among music enthusiasts worldwide.
His triumphant return has been celebrated by fans, as evidenced by the massive crowd that gathered at the airport to show their support and admiration.
