Former Ghanaian international John Mensah disclosed that, since quitting professional football seven years ago, he spends the most of his time in church.
The former captain of the Black Stars, who is renowned for playing a significant part in Ghanaian football history, now spends his time evangelizing.
After his retirement from the field, John stated, “I’m just keeping myself in the church.” This was during the Ghana Football Awards event.
John Mensah stated that his goal as a member of Resurrection Power New Generation Church is to win more people to Christ.
“I have made the decision to worship Him properly, so I evangelize so that my people can know God properly as well,” he continued.
Mensah was a key member of the Black Stars team that advanced to the 2010 FIFA World Cup quarterfinals and placed second in the 2010 Africa Cup of Nations.
The former Sunderland defender had three goals and 86 caps for his country.
