
Former head coach of Accra Great Olympics, Annor Walker, has died after a short illness at his residence in Accra on Wednesday, October 1, 2025.
Walker worked with several clubs, including Great Olympics, Nania FC, Kpando Hearts of Lions, and Berekum Chelsea. A CAF License A holder, he guided Nania FC to their historic 2011 MTN FA Cup triumph over Asante Kotoko at the Accra Sports Stadium.
In 2020, Walker took charge of Great Olympics, where he built one of the club’s most competitive sides in recent years. Despite health challenges, he returned to the touchline to lead the team into the upper ranks of the Ghana Premier League.
He also managed the Black Galaxies, leading them to the 2023 African Nations Championship in Algeria.
Annor Walker is remembered for his tactical discipline, eye for talent, and lasting contribution to Ghanaian football.
