The 27-year-old completed a loan deal from Sevilla during the summer transfer window and is currently signed with La Liga team Valencia. On Tuesday, he did not show up for training with the rest of his teammates.
Cadena SER claims that’s because Mir has been placed under arrest by Civil Guard officials. The former Spain U23 international has reportedly been arrested as part of an ongoing investigation into charges of sexual assault made by two women, according to sources close to the Spanish media outlet.
According to reports, the women in question were attacked at Mir’s house, and as part of the investigation, a second male suspect was taken into custody. The two female victims needed hospital treatment and reported their experiences to the local authorities.
Mir, who was signed by Molineux for three years between 2018 and 2021 (he also had a loan stint at Forest in 2019–20), is rumored to have been brought to the Valencia Civil Guard headquarters, where he is reportedly awaiting a transfer that will allow him to appear before a judge in person.
