Fulham Offers £20m To Manchester United For McTominay

Fulham has made a second proposal, reportedly for £20 million, for midfield player Scott McTominay.

The Scotland international’s future is once more up in the air following West Ham’s failed attempt to recruit him in the summer, although it is expected that United would turn down the offer.

The injury to Rasmus Hojlund, a striker, and defender Leny Yoro, who is expected to miss three months, compounds the problem for the Old Trafford club, which is seeking to raise money to purchase new players.

As he approaches his prime, McTominay aspires to be a regular in the first team.

The 27-year-old started the FA Cup final victory over Manchester City at Wembley, but only made 14 of his 32 Premier League outings for United last season.

In the preseason victory over Real Betis in San Diego on Wednesday night, McTominay played in the number ten position.

But given that Mason Mount is attempting to stay fit, Casemiro is still at the club despite speculation that he would sign a summer transfer to the Saudi Pro-League, and Bruno Fernandes has yet to return to the main group for training following his exploits at Euro 2024, it’s probable a deal will be reached for the Scot.
