Garnacho Out Of Argentina Team Due To Knee Issues.

Due to a knee injury, Alejandro Garnacho, a winger for Manchester United, will not play for Argentina in their World Cup qualifying matches against Venezuela and Bolivia.

With a brace on his left knee, the 20-year-old played the entire 90 minutes of United’s 0-0 Premier League tie at Aston Villa on Sunday. Facundo Buonanotte of Leicester City has taken his spot in the Argentina squad.

Two points ahead of Colombia in second position on the South American qualifying standings are the world champions.

Argentina, led by Lionel Scaloni, will visit eighth-place Bolivia on Tuesday after traveling to sixth-place Venezuela on Thursday.

Garnacho, who has seven caps for his nation, assisted Argentina in winning the Copa America for a record 16 times this summer.

In the meantime, 26-year-old Noussair Mazraoui, Garnacho’s United teammate, has withdrawn from Morocco’s squad for their two-match Africa Cup of Nations match against the Central African Republic.

Mazraoui, who joined the team from Bayern Munich in August, started every league game before being replaced at halftime in the Midlands.
