The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has revealed the start date for the 2024/2025 Premier League season. According to the announcement, the new season will kick off on September 6, 2024. This start date follows 82 days after the end of the 2023/24 Premier League season on June 16, 2024.
The first-ever matches are slated to take place in all nine Premier League centers and run from Friday, September 6, 2024, until Monday, September 9, 2024.
This calendar release follows the approved plan for the 2024/25 football season by the Executive Council of the Ghana Football Association (GFA).
It sticks to previous commitments made to clubs, staying in line with the GFA’s planned start month. Notably, the current football season (2022/24) began on the weekend of September 13 to September 18, 2023.
