Ghanaian teenager Douglas Owusu scores winner for FK Radnik Surdulica

Ghanaian youngster Douglas Owusu was once again the hero for FK Radnik Surdulica as he netted the decisive goal in their hard-fought 1-0 victory over OFK Beograd in the Serbian Superliga on Saturday.

Owusu converted from the spot in the 66th minute at the EFBET Stadion to secure all three points for Radnik.

The 19-year-old’s composure from twelve yards sealed the win and earned his side a valuable result in their bid to maintain top-flight status.

The goal takes Owusu’s tally to four in 15 appearances this season, underlining his growing influence for Radnik since their return to the Serbian top-flight.

His performances have not gone unnoticed, attracting interest from several European clubs.

Swiss giants BSC Young Boys, Norwegian champions FK Bodo/Glimt, and Ukrainian Premier League outfit Metalist 1925 Kharkiv are all reportedly monitoring the Ghanaian attacker closely.

Metalist are believed to have already tabled an enticing offer for the player, though Radnik are holding out for a club record fee.

Owusu, a product of Ghana’s lower divisions, continues to rise rapidly, and his recent form suggests he could soon be making a move to one of Europe’s more competitive leagues.
