Ghanaians Call For Otto Addo’s Dismissal After Black Stars’ Humiliating Loss To Sudan

Following their shocking 2-0 loss to Sudan in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers, Ghanaians are calling for Otto Addo to be fired as head coach of the Black Stars.

After a difficult beginning, the national squad was looking for its first win in the qualifying round.

Prior to this, Ghana had drawn 1-1 with Niger in Berkane and lost 1-0 to Angola at Baba Yara Stadium.

Last Thursday at the Accra Sports Stadium, the Black Stars were held to a scoreless draw in a doubleheader against Sudan.

But Kwesi Appiah’s team defeated the team 2-0 in the rematch at the Martyrs of February Stadium in Libya.

Sudan’s Falcons won thanks to goals in the second half from Mohamed Abdelrahman and Ahmed Hamed Mahmoud.

Ghana now sits in third position in Group F as a result of the results, with only two points from four games.

The Black Stars’ final qualifier is scheduled to take place at the Accra Sports Stadium against Niger. Next month, they will travel to Luanda, Portugal, to play Angola.

Many Ghanaians went to social media after the team’s recent loss and demanded that Otto Addo be fired as the national team’s coach.
