Ghanaians To Process UK Visa Applications Through VFSGlobal Centre Starting October 22

Beginning on October 22, Ghanaians who intend to apply for visas to the UK are advised to use a new Visa Application Center (VAC).

On this date, VFS Global will take the place of TLScontact, the UK’s previous third-party VAC service provider.

Ghanaian candidates who started the application process via TLScontact will also have to finish their applications using VFSGlobal.

In an announcement on the Uk.gov, the communiqué stated that “You will be contacted by email if this change affects you.”

“However, there is no need for concern as it will not affect visa application decisions, processing times or prices.”

The statement further explained that, the changes seeks to “improve our service, including on average shorter biometric and application submission times in the VAC.”

“The UK’s global network of VACs is managed by third party suppliers on behalf of UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI).”

“The opening of our new VAC in Ghana marks an exciting milestone in the provision of a world-class UK visa operation, one which will provide important digital innovations and convenience to customers around the world,” stated Marc Owen, UKVI Director for Visa, Status, and Information Services.

It was disclosed that the Ghanaian VAC is now located on the mezzanine floor of the Grand Oyeeman Building, South Liberation Link, Accra.
