Gospel Musicians Deserve To Be Paid Well Just Like Our secular Colleagues. Apostle Rogers

We Deserve To Be Paid Well Just Like Our secular Colleagues. Apostle Rogers Tell Event Organizers!!!!

Apostle Rogers over the weekend went for an interview on kingdom fm to promote his latest single with Nacee dubbed Megwankobia, but responding to a question this is what the gospel Mega star in the making told  Dj Barimah. As a gospel musicians we have also dedicated our life to spread the message of hope and redemption through our music. However, despite our passion and dedication, we face harsh reality low payment for performances.

“It’s disheartening to see how little value is placed on gospel music,” Apostle Rogers shares. “We pour our hearts and souls into our craft, yet we’re often paid peanuts for our performances. “The struggle is real for many gospel musicians. While our secular counterparts command high fees for performances, gospel musicians are often expected to perform for minimal compensation, or even for free.”I’ve had promoters offer me little for a performance.

The Megwankobia hit maker reveals. “It’s not even enough to cover my transportation costs, let alone compensate me for my time and talent.”This trend is not only unsustainable but also devalues the contributions of gospel musicians. “We’re not just entertainers; we’re ministers of the gospel,” Apostle Rogers emphasizes. “Our music has the power to transform lives, yet we’re treated like we’re worth nothing.”

The low payment for performances also affects the quality of music produced. “When you’re not earning enough, you can’t invest in your craft,” Apostle Rogers explains. “You can’t afford to work with top producers, or record in quality studios. It hampers your ability to produce excellent music.”

But i believes it starts with a shift in mindset. “We need to recognize the value of gospel music and the impact it has on people’s lives. We need to start paying our musicians what they’re worth.”

Until then, we will continue to sing our heart out, trusting that our music will make a difference, no matter the payment. yes we do it for the glory of God, and for the souls that need to be touched,” like we always say. “But it would be nice to be valued and compensated fairly for my work.” on that note too my new single with Nacee dubbed Megwankobia meaning )My Refuge) is out on all platforms @apostlerogers.
