About Hauz Nation: THE NEW AFRO DANCEHALL SENSATION
He was born Richard Kotey Neequaye to Mr. Joseph Neeeqauye and Mrs. Janet Neequaye on
26th December 1996. He hails from and resides in Shiabu in the Greater Accra Region. He is
affectionately called Hauz Nation – a name that identifies him as an artiste.
Hauz Nation has always had the voracious appetite for music; even in his small circles, he
doesn’t shy away from exuding his style, creativity , lyrical and vocals prowess, reason for
which he is widely accepted by his community to a fault.
Even though he hasn’t hit the lime light yet, his trajectory as a musician is one worthy of
emulation. He has fought tooth and nail to make emphatic statements through participation in
contests, freestyles, open mics , etc., as and when the opportunity avails itself.
Due to his versatility, he appeals to diverse and complex audiences from different backgrounds.
It was in one of his magnificent episodes that Ereal Entertainment (a prolific emerging record
label) spotted him. Consequently, on Thursday, 16th November, 2023, Hauz Nation was
signed to the record label and subsequently “outdoored” as the new Afro Dancehall sensation
in glory to his neighborhood (Shiabu) .
As an Ereal Entertainment signee, Hauz Nation has officially released his first single. The song
titled “Winning” is indeed a groundbreaking record with great instrumentation, vocal diversity,
lyrical dexterity, rhythmically melodic ,and most of all, speaks to the heart. It is currently on all
streaming platforms.
