Hearts Of Oaks Set To Lose Key Midfielder

Ghana Premier League side Accra Hearts of Oaks is set to lose a key player in the January transfer window.

According to reports, the midfielder is leaving Hearts of Oaks to free the club’s wage bill. The player’s contract ended this year. Since joining the club three years ago, injuries, affected his playing time.

Lawali was injured in his first year at the club and had successful surgery in South Africa. He has since been undergoing his prescribed rehabilitation programme.

Speaking to Dekia media, the Nigerian midfielder expressed his gratitude to the club. Although, he could not meet the expectations of the club. Injuries ruin careers in football.

I am grateful to the Board Chairman for helping me get my surgery and ensuring that I can continue to play and make a living. I thank the fans as well for keeping faith in me even though I wasn’t playing they still believed in me.  Lawali Mamane said.
