I resigned from TV3 due to a prophecy

Ghanaian media personality Gloria Akpene Nyarku, widely known as MzGee, has opened up about the real reason behind her sudden resignation from TV3.

According to her, a chilling prophecy about death pushed her to step away from her role at the station.

 In a recent video MzGee disclosed that she received a prophecy suggesting that a television show host would die during a reality show. Although the prophecy was not delivered directly to her, she said it unsettled her deeply and influenced her decision.

She explained that after hearing the prophecy, she felt the need to act immediately.

 “I resigned from TV3 because of a prophecy. And that prophecy said, ‘I see someone on television, hosting a reality show, and that person will fall and die.’ After receiving this prophecy, I decided to step down,” she explained.

MzGee also addressed critics who had previously questioned her decision to leave TV3. She pointed out that many speculated she left out of troublemaking or internal conflicts, but the truth was far deeper.

“For those of you who wondered why I resigned and even labeled me a troublemaker, the truth is I didn’t know where the death mentioned in the prophecy was going to come from. But the prophecy clearly said it would happen on a reality show. And if you know my career, you know I used to host Mentor and we were getting close to that time of the year,” she continued.

The media personality further revealed that the prophecy was not the only sign she experienced. She recalled a series of dreams about death that made her uneasy and convinced her that her life was at risk.

“Would I have ignored this prophecy, even though the man of God didn’t specifically say I should resign? Should I have gone ahead, stood on that stage, presented, and then fallen to my death? When I received the prophecy, my dreams were already warning me that something was wrong. That’s why I’m doing this video to say that yes, there are prophecies, but sometimes your own spirit also alerts you. Sometimes you even see it in your dreams. I kept dreaming of death over and over again,” she revealed.

Sharing how disturbing the experience was, MzGee noted that she constantly felt surrounded by death either seeing herself among the dead or hearing people say they had seen her dead in dreams.

“At one point, I kept asking myself is it that I’m seeing myself among people I already know who have died? Or is it because others kept saying they had seen me dead? The truth is, death was haunting me, that’s how serious it became. And then came this prophecy. I told myself, this man of God has touched on something real. He didn’t tell me to resign, but I chose to,” she said.

Finally, MzGee addressed allegations that she had resigned due to jealousy of her colleagues. She said that at the time, it would have been difficult to reveal her true reason without being mocked or doubted.

“So let me address those who claimed I resigned because I was jealous of a colleague. How could I have told anyone back then that I had received a prophecy and resigned because of it? People would have said, ‘This girl isn’t serious; she believes in prophets.’ And when nothing happened, the same people would mock me for believing. Yet, if it did happen, those same people would turn around and say, ‘She was warned, but she didn’t act on it,’” she explained.
