I’ve Been Trying To Reconcile With Stonebwoy For Years – Kelvyn Boy
The afrobeats musician Kelvyn Boy has been transparent about his continuous attempts to make amends with Stonebwoy, his erstwhile mentor.
He claims that for the previous five years, he has been attempting to mend his relationship with the dancehall artist.
A falling out between the two artists, who had previously enjoyed a successful musical collaboration under Stonebwoy’s Burniton Music Group, caused Kelvyn Boy to leave the label a few years ago.
Since then, Kelvyn Boy claimed he has been making an effort to patch up their friendship, despite their long-standing conflict.
“Left to me alone, we should just quash the issues and be cool, I don’t even remember what led to the fight,” he said in an interview on Hitz FM.
Kelvyn Boy revealed that despite several efforts to start a dialogue, Stonebwoy hasn’t demonstrated a willingness for reconciliation.
Kelvyn Boy is still optimistic that their relationship will improve, though.
Due to irreconcilable internal conflicts, Kelvyn Boy, a previous protégé of Stonebwoy, broke relations with the record label.
Before Kelvyn Boy left, the two musicians had success with a number of joint projects, including “Dede,” “Na You,” “Kpoo Keke,” and “Catch A Vibe.”
After Stonebwoy left Burniton Music Group, his manager Blakk Cedi and fellow signee OV also departed the company, joining forces with Kelvyn Boy—a move that was perceived as treachery.
The singer Kelvyn Boy is still willing to patch things up, however it’s still unclear why he’s pressing for reconciliation right now.
