J.A Kufuor’s Son Features As President In Upcoming Movie ‘The Storm’
In the upcoming film “The Storm,” Edward Kufuor, the son of former Ghanaian President John Agyekum Kufuor, plays a president.
From 2001 to 2009, John Agyekum Kufuor presided over Ghana as president. Edward Kufuor’s character in “The Storm” acknowledges that his father was a better president than he is in the film, and he struggles with corruption and lawlessness.
At Kufuor’s playful “confession,” the audience burst out laughing, heightening the excitement for the film’s premiere this weekend.
Prominent performers including Edward Agyekum Kufuor, Edinam Atatsi, Diana Dugbartey, Luckie Lawson, Adjetey Anang, Samini, Salma Mumin, and Edward K. Abebrese are among those who appear in The Storm.
There is an increase in criminal activity in Accra, and thugs are inflicting havoc on the population.
“The Storm” is a gripping film about detectives Danso and Lynn, who fight against crime and corruption. After a teenage boy’s murder and three young women’s kidnappings, they join forces to combat crime. As Milly becomes a celebrity, she demands government action against criminals, which puts her at odds with the country’s President.
The film premieres this weekend at Silverbird Cinemas in Accra and Royal View Cinema in Kumasi. Ben Owusu, the director, invites audiences to experience the gripping film and honors the memory of four cast members who passed away during filming.
