Japan Heavily Defeats Black Queens In Friendly Match

At Kanazawa’s Go Go Curry Stadium, Ghana’s Black Queens lost 4-0 to Japan in an international friendly.

Japan got the game underway with a strong start, applying a lot of pressure on the Black Queens’ defense in the opening quarter, which made the Ghanaian team work particularly hard.

When Captain Portia Boakye was sent off for fouling Japan’s Tanaka Mina, the Black Queens used ten players for the most of the match.

Ghana’s first offensive attempt saw Doris Boaduwaa’s shot miss, while Japan dominated. Goalkeeper Cynthia Konlan Findiib stood out with several top saves. Tanaka Mina scored in the 52nd minute from a scramble after a Nagano free-kick. Hanata and Fujino Aoba scored quickly in the 64th and 67th minutes, and Kitagawa added another in the 80th minute. The Black Queens couldn’t overcome the four-goal deficit.

The match allowed Ghana’s technical team to assess the squad against tough competition for future international games.
