Jordan Ayew Undergoes Medicals At Leicester City Towards A Move

Jordan Ayew, a striker for Ghana, is about to leave Crystal Palace to head to Leicester City for a medical.

The 32-year-old forward’s £8 million trade has been approved by Palace.

Ayew first came to Crystal Palace on loan in 2018, and in July 2019 the transfer became permanent.

But under new manager Oliver Glasner, he has seen less playing time, which has diminished his influence on the club.

Ayew made 212 appearances for Palace throughout his tenure, tallying 23 goals and dishing out 22 assists in all competitions.

Ayew replaced Daichi Kamada in the last 20 minutes of Palace’s Premier League match against Brentford, which ended in a 2-1 loss.

After winning promotion to the Premier League the previous year, Leicester City began this season with a 1-1 draw against Tottenham Hotspur at home.

Despite Saudi Arabia’s interest in Ayew this summer, he is currently anticipated to finish his medical evaluation with Steve Cooper’s team in order to be transferred permanently.

Ayew will be attending Leicester alongside Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, another Ghanaian.
