According to Juventus, the club and Aston Villa have struck a consensus on a deal for Douglas Luiz.
With the arrival of the 23-year-old midfielder, Villa Park will see the opposite movement of Samuel Iling-Junior and Enzo Barrenechea of Juventus.
According to reports, Juventus is paying roughly 50 million euros (£42.3 million) for Luiz. The club also stated that they will receive 22 million euros (£18.5 million) from Villa for the two players leaving, along with an additional 3 million euros (£2.5 million) in bonuses.
Luiz will have a medical during Brazil’s training camp next week, according to Juventus.
The deal initially included Weston McKennie, but his wages became an issue.
Argentine Barrenechea, who was relegated last season with Frosinone, has played five times for Juventus. England Under-21 international Iling-Junior, from Chelsea’s academy, played 27 times for Juve last term.
Aston Villa Women and Swiss striker Alisha Lehmann will join Juventus.
Villa need to sell players this summer to comply with profit and sustainability rules after reporting a £119m loss up to May 31, 2023.
They’ve sold midfielder Tim Iroegbunam to Everton for £9m and Chelsea are set to sign attacking midfielder Omari Kellyman for £19m.
Despite qualifying for the Champions League last season, Villa must manage losses allowed under PSR rules, which they voted against in 2015-16.
