Kamaldeen Sulemana To Join Ajax For A Season Loan Deal

Ajax, a Dutch Eredivisie team, has agreed to bring Kamaldeen Sulemana from Southampton on a season-long loan.

The Eredivisie giants are set to lose Steven Bergwijn, who is expected to go to Saudi Arabia. The Ghanaian international is being brought in to replace him.

Sulemana’s current Southampton contract expires in2027, but as per respected football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the midfielder has an option to buy Ajax out during his loan period.
Sulemana was first linked to Ajax in 2021, however he chose to sign a €17 million summer transfer deal to join Stade Rennes from FC Nordsjaelland.

Sulemana moved to Southampton in January 2023 after paying €25 million. He made 47 appearances for Rennes when he was in France, tallying four assists and six goals.

He made 44 appearances for Southampton, scoring twice and providing four assists. But because of an injury, he hasn’t yet appeared in the Premier League this year.

The quick-witted winger, who is presently recuperating from an injury, will not play for Ghana in their forthcoming Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifying matches against Niger and Angola.

Sulemana is still waiting for his first goal despite making 19 appearances for Ghana’s senior national team.
