Kennedy Agyapong, the MP for Assin Central, generously donated to the Kumasi Children’s Home in honor of his 64th birthday.
On June 16th, a Sunday, toiletries, various food products, clothing, educational materials, and other requirements were included in the contribution. The event also fell on the Muslim holiday of Eid ul-Adhar and this year’s “Fathers’ Day.”
Under the direction of Attorney William Kusi, Agyapong’s previous campaign manager, the donation contained basic supplies such clothing, toiletries, food items, teaching and learning tools, and other requirements. Speaking on behalf of the NPP mainstay, Kusi underlined the importance of the donation in enhancing the wellbeing of the kids in the residence.
Mr. Kusi announced:
“Kennedy Agyapong is 64 today and he has decided to mark this day with orphans. He has always been a father for all of us, and so for that reason, we are here today on his behalf to make this donation and also tell Ghanaians that we should not give up,”
He emphasized Agyapong’s message of optimism and resiliency, pointing out that despite adversity—such as dropping out of school and coming from a low-income family—Agyapong has accomplished a great deal. Agyapong wishes to instill in the kids at the Home this sense of tenacity and resolve.
The Kumasi Children’s Home administration acknowledged receipt of the donation and thanked the Assin Central MP.
The State manages the Kumasi Children’s Home, which is a residential facility for kids. The government founded the facility in 1965 to give vulnerable children care, security, and a place to live.
As of right now, 73 inmates have been registered and housed there, according to data released by the Ministry of Gender, Children, and Social Protection.
