Ghanaian music sensation, Kwabena Kwabena is set to take his iconic song “Aso” to the world stage as he announces a massive global tour to commemorate the song’s 20th anniversary.

The tour, which will span across multiple continents, promises to be an unforgettable experience for fans who have been grooving to the catchy beats and meaningful lyrics of “Aso” for two decades.

The announcement was made at the official launch of “Aso @ 20” held at Croks Lounge in Osu, Accra on Friday, July 18.

The event marks the beginning of a year-long celebration of his remarkable two-decade journey in the music industry.

Kwabena Kwabena, known for his soulful voice and genre-defying sound, has been making waves in the music industry for years. With “Aso” being one of his most popular and enduring songs, this tour is expected to be a celebration of his music, legacy, and impact on fans worldwide.

The upcoming world tour that will take him across Africa, Europe, North America, and Australia.

In addition, fans can anticipate a special anniversary remix of Aso, featuring collaborations with some of Ghana’s most celebrated and emerging artistes.

The global tour will feature a lineup of special performances, including new renditions of “Aso” and other fan-favourite songs from Kwabena Kwabena’s collection.

Speaking at the launch, Kwabena Kwabena expressed heartfelt gratitude for the continued love and support he has received over the years:

“It’s an honour to see Aso, now 20 years old, still resonating with audiences and being performed by a new generation of artistes. I’m overwhelmed and grateful for the love and support I’ve received over the years,” he said.

Originally released in 2004, Aso was part of Kwabena Kwabena’s debut album, which shot him into the spotlight. The album also featured popular songs such as ‘Kyere Me’ and ‘Trodom’, establishing him as one of Ghana’s most soulful and authentic voices.

Kwabena Kwabena’s influence goes beyond music. Through his Kwabena Kwabena Save a Life Foundation, he has championed a wide range of charitable causes, helping to improve lives through health and wellness outreach across Ghana.

His career is decorated with numerous awards including Best Vocal Performance and Best Songwriter.

The event was graced by a host of industry stakeholders and prominent figures including Fred Kyei Mensah (Fredyma), Kofi Okyere Darko (KOD), Silva Lady, Harglah, Papa Bills, Sally Mann, Kwesi Ernest, AJ Poundz, Lexis Bill, Praye Tietia, and Epixode. The evening was expertly emceed by celebrated broadcaster Andy Dosty.

There was a short musical performance from Kwabena Kwabena, Praye-TieTia and Epixode.
