Laryea Kingston Secures Coaching Job In USA

Laryea Kingston, the former coach of the Black Starlets, has landed a new coaching job with RPS Academies in the US.

At the multi-sport academies in Saint Lucie, Florida, Kingston, a former Ghana international and UEFA License B coaching license holder, will now concentrate on developing the next generation of football players.

Alongside a group of coaches, he will apply his extensive experience to develop young athletes.

Kingston highlighted his delight for the new post in an interview with Graphic Sports, even though he was disappointed to leave the Black Starlets during the U-17 WAFU B Championship in Accra.

Prior to making the offer, Kingston disclosed that RPS Academies had been keeping an eye on his coaching career.

Kingston, who is confident in his new role, emphasized that he is familiar with the Right to Dream paradigm, which emphasizes fusing academic accomplishment with athletic achievement.

Kingston also underlined how crucial it is to broaden the academy’s talent pool, particularly by scouting in Africa.

“We have some US-based African players here, but we need to widen our search. I plan to give them a scout in Africa, just like we did at Right to Dream, particularly in West Africa,” he said.

Beginning on September 1, Kingston, who agreed to a five-year contract with RPS Academies, assumed his new position.

His previous coaching experiences include managing the Danish club Nordsjaelland’s under-18 team and working with Right to Dream Academy.

Football, tennis, golf, volleyball, pickleball, and other sports are available at RPS Academies, which also places a high priority on academics.
