Lawrence Ati-Zigi Wins Best Player In Switzerland
Ghana’s number goalkeeper, Lawrence Ati-Zigi, has been crowned the best player in the Swiss League.
Lawrence Ati-Zigi kept the post for Ghana at the just-ended Qatar World Cup. The goalkeeper proved his doubters wrong with some incredible saves.
Black Stars would exit the competition at the group stage. After the tournament, pundits and football critics who doubted his capabilities became his number one fans.
Lawrence Ati-Zigi has a big reputation in the Swiss top flight with his consistent performances. Since joining in January 2020 from French side FC Sochaux he has been vital for the club.

The 26-year-old beat competition from Cedric Itten (BSC Young Boys), David Douline (Servette FC), Koro Kone (Yverdon Sport FC) and Valon Fazliu of (FC Aarau) to win the ultimate prize.
He has been pivotal for St. Gallen this season having played 14 games and made 58 saves. Only second in the Super League behind Marius Müller of Luzern.
The former Red Bull Salzburg player made his FIFA World Cup debut in Qatar. Although Ghana lost 3-2 to Portugal, he was outstanding.
