Mahama Joins in Grief with National Chief Imam
John Mahama, the former President and flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), visited the National Chief Imam, Sheikh Dr. Osman Nuhu Sharubutu, to extend his condolences following the demise of his wife, Hajia Ramatu.
During the encounter, Mahama praised the Islamic leader’s unwavering faith and resilience amidst challenges. He offered heartfelt prayers for the Chief Imam and his family, beseeching Allah to grant Hajia Ramatu Jannatul Firdaus and to bestow solace and fortitude upon the Chief Imam during this period of mourning.
Mr. Mahama underscored the significance of unity, solidarity, and compassion in offering support to the Chief Imam and his family amidst their current challenges.
He reassured them of the community’s steadfast backing, affirming, “We are here for you during this sorrowful period.”
Hajia Rahmatu Tahwee Sheikh Sharubutu, the wife of the Islamic Cleric, Sheikh Dr. Osmanu Nuhu Sharubutu, passed away on Wednesday, March 27th.
