For Uruguayan midfielder Manuel Ugarte, Manchester United and Paris St-Germain have agreed to a deal worth 50 million euros (£42.29 million).
A potential 10 million euro (£8.46 million) in further payments is also included in the arrangement.
Ugarte might take a plane to Manchester later on Tuesday to get a medical examination.
The transfer coincides with Scott McTominay, a midfield player, being linked to a 30 million euro (£25.37 million) move to Napoli.
Ugarte, linked with Man Utd all summer, is set to join from PSG just a year after his €60m move from Sporting Lisbon.
The 23-year-old made 37 appearances for PSG, helping them win the Ligue 1 title. PSG secured a 10% sell-on clause in the deal.
The move depends on McTominay’s transfer to Napoli, which is expected soon. United, motivated by financial rules, decided to sell McTominay, who made 32 appearances last season. Ugarte will be United’s fifth summer signing, bringing their total spending under Ten Hag to over £190m.
