Mauricio Pochettino Officially Appointed U.S. Head Coach

The USA men’s national team has named Mauricio Pochettino as its next head coach.

The former manager of Chelsea and Tottenham, who left the Blues by mutual consent at the end of the last campaign, will guide the United States of America to its first World Cup in 2026, which will be held in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

In his 15-year illustrious coaching career, Pochettino, 52, has also led Espanyol, Southampton, and Paris Saint-Germain. This will be his first international position.

Gregg Berhalter was fired after the United States was unable to advance from their group in the Copa America this summer. Pochettino took over for Berhalter.
