After a run of poor performances, the South African team Black Leopards parted with Ghanaian coach Maxwell Konadu.
The decision follows the team’s 2-1 loss to Lerumo United on Saturday, which dropped them to 10th position with 23 points from 17 games, 11 points behind league leaders Durban City FC.
After leaving Nsoatreman FC, Konadu was hired on a three-year deal in July 2024 with the responsibility of leading the Black Leopards back to the Betway Premiership. But the anticipated turnaround was not achieved during his term.
Under managers like Chris Hughton, Kwesi Appiah, Otto Addo, Milovan Rajevac, and Avram Grant, the former Ghanaian international was the Black Stars’ assistant coach.
Stan Nkoane, the coach of Venda Football Academy, is reportedly being considered by the club as a possible replacement for him after his departure.
