Mentality of Hearts of Oak players has changed under Didi Dramani – Agyemang Badu

Former Ghana international Emmanuel Agyemang Badu has hailed the mentality of Heart of Oak players ahead of the commencement of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League campaign.

The Ghanaian giants will begin their campaign with a home game against newly promoted Premier League outfit Hohoe United at the Accra Sports Stadium, with President John Dramani Mahama expected to be in attendance.

Speaking in an interview, Badu highlighted change in mentality under new coach Didi Dramani, compared to Aboubakar Ouattara’s era.

“Hearts of Oak have really prepared for the upcoming Ghana Premier League season under new coach Didi Dramani. He’s played a couple of games with the team and you could see the mentality of the players have drastically changed”

“Gradually, I think the Phobia spirit is coming back. Hearts of Oak will be exciting this season. In the Top 4, they were able to stage a strong comeback against Goldstars after going down by two goals” he said.

The Phobians enjoyed a fairly good campaign during the 2024/25 Ghanaian football season. Despite missing out on a trophy, the team’s top-four finish in the Ghana Premier League was an improvement from the previous campaign, where the team almost suffered relegation.

After the improvement, Hearts of Oak are now aiming to win the Ghana Premier League in the 2025/26 season under the new coach.
