Michael Essien ‘s Houses to Be Sold By Court Order

East Legon and Trassaco resident Michael Essien’s two houses are scheduled to go up for sale, Daily Guide said.

On June 12, 2024, the Deputy Sheriff of the Commercial Division of the High Court issued the sale order.

The properties in dispute are situated in two different parts of Accra: Trassaco (Phase 2), Adjiringano (House Number 204/205), and Stephen Quarshie Crescent, East Legon (House Number 9).

An unidentified auctioneer revealed that one of the properties is estimated to be for between $20 million and $30 million.

Essien started his career with Bastia in France before going to Olympique Lyonnais. His exceptional achievements there caught Chelsea’s attention, and he eventually joined the ranks of the Premier League’s top paid players there.

Essien won multiple Premier League championships and a UEFA Champions League trophy while he was a player for Chelsea.

The former Ghanaian international gained recognition for his midfield skills throughout the world while playing for other elite teams like AC Milan and Real Madrid.

Even though he made a lot of money when he was a player, Essien, an assistant coach at FC Nordsjaelland in Denmark, has faced difficulties in his business and financial endeavors after he retired from professional football.
