Michael Jackson’s Brother Tito Passes Away At 70

According to US media, Tito Jackson, the late Michael Jackson’s brother and a founding member of the pop group Jackson 5, passed away at the age of 70.

The official reason of death is still unknown.

Together with his brothers Jackie, Jermaine, Marlon, and Michael—who passed away in 2009—Tito was a member of the renowned ensemble.

Recently, he traveled to Munich in advance of the group’s scheduled performance.

Steve Manning, a longtime family friend, confirmed Tito Jackson’s death on Monday. His sons, Taj, Taryll, and TJ, shared the news on Instagram, expressing their heartbreak and calling him an “incredible man.” They said, “It will forever be ‘Tito Time’ for us.”

The Jackson 5, formed in 1964, had hits like “ABC” and “I Want You Back,” selling over 150 million records. The group earned a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1980 and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1997.

Tito was one of nine children and the third oldest Jackson. Globally renowned actors Janet and La Toya Jackson are among his other siblings.

His family

Except for Michael, who passed away in June 2009 at the age of 50, all of his siblings are still living.

In 2018, Joe Jackson, the father of the family, passed away at the age of 89.

There have been 27 US number one songs generated by this group of singers and performers.

Beginning in 2003, Tito pursued a solo blues music career in addition to his work with the band.

With his 2016 smash, Get It Baby, he became the last brother to have a solo single reach the Billboard charts.

The Jacksons, Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, and Marlon, went on a world tour in 2019.

They had just finished two years of extensive touring the UK as part of A Celebration of 50 Years, which included a stop at Glastonbury Festival.
