Michael Sefah, a defender, has officially signed a one-and-a-half-year contract with Asante Kotoko.
On the day of the transfer deadline, the 29-year-old left lower-division team Port City FC to join the Porcupine Warriors.
The center-back, who is also capable of playing defensive midfield, has played for Liberty Professionals and Medeama Sporting Club in the past, where he obtained vital experience in the top division.
Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum, coach of Asante Kotoko, said he was happy with the defender’s move.
Michael is a fantastic addition to our team. His ability to play both as a centre-back and in defensive midfield gives us great tactical flexibility,” he told the club’s media.
“He completes our centre-back options, as we previously had only three senior ones in Ablorh, Samba, and Ansu.
“Michael’s arrival not only strengthens our defense but also provides leadership and stability, which will be crucial as we compete on multiple fronts,” he added.
Sefah is known for his composure, strength, and ability to read the game, making him a solid addition to the Kotoko squad.
