Music Producer Unda Beatz Passes Away Shortly After Birthday
Tragically, a few days after celebrating his birthday, renowned Ghanaian music producer Eric Nkrumah—better known in the music business as “Unda Beatz”—passed away.
The entertainment industry is in shock over the news of his premature death.
Yaa Pono and other close friends and business associates confirmed the awful news on social media and expressed their shock. Since the cause of death is yet unknown, many people are still in shock over the unexpected loss.
On social media, admirers and musicians like Stay Jay have posted emotional remembrances, lamenting the passing of a visionary who made a substantial contribution to Ghanaian music.
Just four days prior, Unda Beatz celebrated his birthday with a dazzling smile in an Instagram snapshot. As followers remember his lively attitude, the post has since taken on a somber tone.
Working with some of the biggest artists in Ghanaian music, like as Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy, and Yaa Pono, Unda Beatz established himself in the business.
Hit songs including “Top Skanka” and “Sobolo” by Stonebwoy, the latter of which took home the 2021 3Music Highlife Song of the Year title, were penned by him.
He was nominated for Instrumentalist of the Year at the 2019 Telecel Ghana Music Awards due to his extraordinary talent.
Unda Beatz was raised in Mankessim, in the Central Region of Ghana, and went to Mando Senior High School.
His impact on the music industry will be significantly remembered.
