The first child of Nigerian musician Reekado Banks, a baby boy, was welcomed on a day that was bittersweet.
The musician revealed that the day his baby was born happened to be the anniversary of his mother’s death two years prior.
Reekado Banks, making the announcement on his Instagram expressed his feelings saying “Two years ago we said our goodbyes, but I see you never left. How’s it two years after, I’m leaving the hospital, thankful for the joy and blessing of fatherhood?”
He also paid tribute to his partner, expressing deep appreciation for her strength throughout the pregnancy.
“Nothing but deep appreciation to my woman for 10 months of absolute show of grit and strength. Love, love, love you forever,” he wrote.
The happy new dad posted touching pictures of himself and his partner strolling happily with their baby after leaving the hospital.
