NDC Distances Itself From DKB’s 24-hour Economy Advertisement Film

Ahead of the next general elections, the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has distanced itself from a campaign ad that was made by comedian DKB that outlined the party’s 24-hour economic program.

Renowned stand-up comedian, TV personality, actor, and event host DKB from Ghana has been endorsing the NDC in the forthcoming elections on December 7.

On social media, though, his attempt to defend John Mahama’s 24-hour economy program in a campaign video was mocked.

Although the comedian intended for his film to suggest that banks and companies will be open 24/7, online users took the message in a different way.

This sparked a lot of criticism, with many people doubting the success of DKB’s campaigning  plan.

The National Communications Bureau of the NDC issued a statement in reaction to the controversy, stressing the importance of message coherence and efficient communication.

The party advised supporters to get approval and direction from the bureau before creating campaign advertisements.
