In advance of the election on December 7, National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer John Mahama will introduce the youth manifesto today.
The launch, which will be held at the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA), is a part of the youth-focused events being held in honor of August 12, 2024, International Youth Day.
The National Youth Organizer, George Opare Addo, stated that the NDC selected the day to reassure youth of their resolve to reset Ghana in an interview with Dwaso Nsem of Adom FM.
“We have titled it the Pledge thus our promises to Ghanaians which will touch on health, education, agriculture, ICT, mining, environment, jobs, inclusive and good governance among others,” he noted.
Mr. Addo emphasized that Mr. Mahama’s plans and commitments to empower young people and solve the pressing issues they confront will be detailed in the manifesto.
Later that day, he declared that the former president will interact with youth at the Bukom Boxing Arena during a special event called the Mahama Youth Town Hall Meeting.
It will serve as a forum for young people to engage with Mr. Mahama, pose inquiries, and talk about his policies—particularly those that pertain to lowering youth unemployment and fostering entrepreneurship, education, and skill development.
