On Saturday, April 26, 2025, a one-week observance has been set for the late veteran Ghanaian disc jockey and Multimedia Group employee Samuel Tei Mensah Nartey, better known by his stage name DJ Awana.
The old Adom FM in Tema Community 2 will host the sad occasion.
After a brief illness, DJ Awana, 47, died on Sunday, April 6, 2025, in the 37 Military Hospital.
DJ Awana started his illustrious media career more than 20 years ago with Adom FM, which was headquartered in Tema, and gained notoriety very fast.
Because of his kind disposition, soft-spoken style, and skillful music choices that fit any situation, he rose to fame in Ghana’s media and live event sectors.
