Leicester City winger Abdul Fatawu Issahaku and his completely recovered teammate Jordan Ayew were visited by Black Stars coach Otto Addo.
Due to a significant knee injury, Fatawu Issahaku has missed the remainder of the season and is currently undergoing therapy.
The 24-year-old suffered the injury during Ghana’s 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualification match against Angola in Luanda on Matchday Five.
Regretfully, this injury also prevents him from playing in Ghana’s March 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying matches against Chad and Madagascar.
Positively, Jordan Ayew has fully recovered and returned to Leicester City following his injury sustained during Ghana’s November 16, 2024, AFCON qualifier versus Angola.
Coach Addo’s visit demonstrates his commitment to the welfare and development of national team players, regardless of whether they are engaged in competition or recovering.
