Pelpuo, Sam George, Ablakwa, And Five Others Face Ministerial Vetting Today

On Thursday, January 30, 2025, seven additional ministers-designate, including Abdul-Rashid Hassan Pelpuo, Minister Designate for the Ministry of Labor, Jobs, and Employment, are expected to undergo vetting.

At 8:00 a.m., Mr. Pelpuo will testify before the Parliamentary Appointments Committee.

He will be followed at 9:00 a.m. by the vetting of Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed, Minister Designate for the Ministry of Environment, Science, and Technology.

At 10:00 a.m., it will be Samuel Nartey George’s turn as Minister Designate for the Ministry of Communications, Digital Technology, and Innovations.

Also at 11:00 a.m., the Committee will hear from Kofi Iddie Adams, Minister Designate for the Ministry of Sports and Recreation.

At 12:30 p.m., the committee will take a break and reconvene.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ Minister Designate, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, will undergo a screening at 12:30 p.m.

1:30 p.m. is the scheduled vetting time for Joseph Bukari Nikpe, Minister Designate for the Ministry of Transportation.

At 2:30 p.m., Minister of State for Climate Change and Sustainability Issifu Seidu will address the committee.

Finally, at 3:30 p.m., the Ahafo Region’s Minister Designate, Mrs. Charity Gardiner, will undergo a vetting process.

On Friday, January 31, 2025, the following ministers-designate will be vetted:
  1. Salisu Be-Awuribe Issifu, Esq – Minister Designate for the Savannah Region at 8:00 a.m.
  2. Wilbert Petty Brentum – Minister Designate for the Western North Region at 9:00 a.m.
  3. Felix Kwakye Ofosu, MP – Minister of State for Government Communications at 10:00 a.m.
  4. Joseph Nelson – Minister Designate for the Western Region at 11:00 a.m.
  5. Kwabena Mintah Akandoh, MP – Minister Designate for the Ministry of Health at 12:00 p.m.

LUNCH BREAK – 1:00 p.m.

  1. Joseph Addae Akwaboa – Minister Designate for the Bono Region at 1:30 p.m.
  2. Francis Owusu Antwi – Minister Designate for the Bono East Region at 2:30 p.m.
  3. Edumoah Ekow Panyin Okyere – Minister Designate for the Central Region at 3:30 p.m.
  4. Puozuing Charles Lwanga – Minister Designate for the Upper West Region at 4:30 p.m.
