One of the highest positions in France’s Légion d’Honneur, an honorary order founded by Napoleon Bonaparte in 1802, is that of Grand Officier de la Légion d’Honneur.

The award ceremony, which took place in Paris following an official working lunch between President Macron and President Akufo-Addo, highlighted the growing ties between Ghana and France, which are marked by respect for one another, a shared set of values, and a dedication to working together on international challenges.
